Veterinarian working in the field of animal pathology and public health

37129 Verona, Italien

Introduction / About me

In 2021 I graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Parma, where I will also complete the specialization School in Animal Health this November. My initial interests in infectious diseases and small animal medicine have led me to diverse roles over the past two years, including working in small animal clinics, assisting official veterinarians, and participating in a pig welfare research project. Last year, I decided to focus on infectious disease control, surveillance, and diagnostics, with a particular interest in epidemiology and data analysis. I applied for a scholarship at the Istituto Zooprofilattico delle Venezie to collaborate with their epidemiology department. I was assigned to the diagnostic laboratory in Verona, a region with a high concentration of turkey and chicken farms, providing me with valuable experience in diagnosing diseases in poultry and other farm animals, and improving my understanding of livestock industry dynamics through collaboration with industry experts and veterinarians. I am interested in opportunities focusing on the fields of infectious disease epidemiology and diagnostics.
