Über uns

Our client is a second-generation, owner-managed, specialised livestock practice.
The practice is based in the north-west of Germany. Its core competencies are pig breeding and fattening, calf rearing and fattening, and dairy farm management.
Herd management, prophylaxis and therapy are closely interlinked and are offered at a high level thanks to the in-house laboratory, including a pathology lab.
Training courses are held several times a year for both staff and clients to ensure a level of cooperation. The highly organised, large veterinary team provides a convenient emergency duty system.

As part of a succession plan, we are looking to fill a full-time, permanent position at the earliest possible date.

• As part of a team of around 20 veterinarians, you will mainly be involved in herd management of fattening and rearing barns or dairy farms, depending on your personal focus.
• You will be part of a group of three to four colleagues organised by a group manager.
• Your self-determined daily routine will consist mainly of self-planned client visits using a mobile practice. Keeping animals healthy is the main goal.
• Advising on husbandry, breeding, feeding and vaccination strategies is part of your daily routines. Depending on your expertise, you will also carry out minor surgeries on cattle and manage fertility, udder and hoof health.
• You will carry out diagnostics mainly in the practice's in-house laboratory and in some cases, with external institutes.
• You will pay particular attention to the consistent and complete documentation of your activities and the administration of medicines.
• You’ll have on-call duties (no night shifts) every fourth weekend
• Your geographical working area is within a manageable radius in the South West of Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen).
• Your direct supervisor is the group manager

• You are a veterinarian. Your focus and passion is for pigs and/or calves and cows.
• Ideally, you have gathered several years’ experience in a farm animal practice.
• You are a good organiser and self-motivator.
• You combine veterinary counselling skills with physical resilience and diagnostic talent.
• Skilful communication and guidance of professional farming clients are also part of your strengths.
